How you'll be looked after

When you arrive for a consultation, we'll ask you to fill out a "Welcome to our practice" form so we can make sure we have some background information about you. Our optometrists, Frank or Jane will review this information, and conduct a thorough eye examination to check your vision and eye health.

Sometimes drops are used to dilate your pupils and this may affect your ability to return to work or home. You'll be advised beforehand, as you'll need to make alternative travel arrangements.

Your diagnosis at this consultation will determine the next step, which may or may not include a prescription for glasses or contact lenses, further eye testing or a referral to another health professional.

It's important to have your eyes checked regularly, even if you feel your eyesight is good. Our tests check the health of your eyes and can pick up some other physical problems that can be detected via your eyes.

Therefore, we'll send you a reminder when your next consultation is due, so if you change your address, telephone number or other personal information, please let us know!
