About Us

Our Leichhardt practice opened in 1981, establishing our reputation as a skilled provider of optometry services in the Inner West. Demand grew steadily and we established a second practice in Burwood in 2003.

Frank Filocamo delivers a full range of optometry services and has a particular interest in behavioural / developmental optometry. He graduated from the University of NSW and holds a Fellowship with both the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometry and The College of Vision Development (USA). He is a passionate believer that great optical care is crucial to a high quality of life. Frank ensures he is up to date with the latest developments in optometry through participation in regular lectures and workshops.

Frank is assisted by a great team who are also interested in keeping their skills and knowledge up to date. Jane Dinh, optometrist, has a keen interest in contact lenses and is also undertaking her Fellowship in Behavioural / Developmental Optometry. Anna and Amanda, our optical assistants, are always happy to assist you. As Practice Manager, Gai keeps both practices running smoothly and is also assisting with vision therapy at Burwood.

Many of our patients have been with us for more than two decades and appreciate the way we care for them and our professional approach. In fact, we are now seeing the children of many of our patients who originally came to us as children themselves!
